Eastern University
Welcome to a camp that feels a lot farther from the outside world than it is. Eastern University is only a 20-minute drive from the sights and sounds of bustling Philadelphia. But this 100-acre historic estate, located in St. Davids, Pa., is a cozy and exciting world all its own. That makes it a perfect location for Student Life Camp. This private Christian school is secluded in a protected wetlands environment that includes three lakes, wooded walking trails and a variety of wildlife such as deer and cranes. The natural charm of the campus is accented by rustic stone-and-brick buildings that have been beautifully preserved in the passage of time.
The setting is ideal for the needs of a Student Life camper, including Bible study, recreation, fellowship and worship. Every facility on campus is close at hand, including the multipurpose gymnasium that holds over 800 for large-group gatherings. Step outside of campus, and the world is wide open with opportunities to serve for those attending Student Life Mission Camp at Eastern.
The distractions are minimal or non-existent, which is exactly what youth ministers are looking for in a destination for camp. The return on a trip to Eastern could be priceless for a student who needs a place to be with other Christ-seeking teenagers for a week of study, fun and worship. Student Life has been in ministry partnership with Eastern University since 2004.www.eastern.eduHousing
