Shocco Springs Conference Center

Shocco Springs is one of Student Life’s classic locations. Modeled after a modern wooded retreat, everything is at your fingertips…the place is full of attractions within walking distance.

Shocco Springs Conference Center gives the feeling of being tucked comfortably away in a secret place that allows for focus, fun and relaxation. It’s located just outside Talladega, Ala., an hour’s drive from Birmingham and two hours from Atlanta, in the middle of beautiful, pristine forestland. Students looking for a cozy outdoor spot for personal Bible study won’t have to look long or hard. Neither will youth groups looking for open spaces and multiple options for recreation and relaxation, which include the popular Aqua Jump and Floating Iceberg.

Shocco’s commitment to excellence in ministry explains their partnership with Student Life since 1998. The last couple of years have seen the addition of a new activities center that can accommodate a large-group gathering of students hungry for worship, and the city of Talladega and surrounding areas provide a newfound wealth of valuable service opportunities for students participating in Student Life Mission Camp.

The facilities at Shocco are all within a short walk from each other, and they’re all dedicated to facilitating students’ weeklong pursuit of God at camp.

Housing

Guys: 2 or 4 per room; private, suite, or hall bathrooms
Girls: 2 or 4 per room; private, suite, or hall bathrooms

Note: Housing priority is based on date deposits are received in the Student Life office.

Freetime Options

Outdoor Basketball, Miniature Golf, Frisbee Golf, Tennis, Pool, Pedal Boats, Hiking Trails, Volleyball, Foosball, Ping Pong, Snack Bar*, Aqua Park*, Paintball*

*Requires additional fee
