Camp • 7.30.09

Excited youth groups, adult leaders and ministers arrived at YMCA of the Rockies in Winter Park, Colorado from multiple states from across the United States in anticipation for Student Life Camp 2009.  Youth and ministers alike anticipated hearing messages and challenge from camp pastor Dave Edwards as well as being led in worship by Jeff Johnson. 
    The camp theme for Student Life Camp 2009 is Flip.  The theme is presented to the students throughout different areas of their day.   Flip, based off the scripture Matthew 20:16, which reads, “so those who are last now will be first then, and those who are first will be last.”   Throughout family group bible studies, prayer gatherings and worship, students will be led by Student Life staff and adult leaders to understand that life in God’s Kingdom begins by turning away or experiencing the “flip” from their old lives to embrace new ones.
    This website is for friends and family members who have students attending camp this week.  It will be updated multiple times daily with pictures of campers during recreation, missions among other events.  Website users will also be able to connect and listen in live with Student Life Live each night at 7:00 local time on the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th days.  Visitors are also encouraged to email students and purchase gift cards.
