More than just another camp option, Student Life Mission Camp is an
opportunity for your students to experience a part of the Christian life that is essential for believers—service to others.
With the same Morning Celebration, Bible Study and Evening Worship as students at Student Life Camp, Mission Camp students gain a different life transforming experience as they spend five hours each day at mission sites.
At these sites your students will be involved in serving others as they repair homes, serve food to the hungry, visit nursing homes or teach children in a community center—and those are just a few of the options!

Mission Projects
Repairing homes, serving food, or teaching children in a community center are just a few possibilities. Every full day of Mission Camp, students spend five hours in the community doing service projects. Student Life staff work with each local church to secure a quality project in the spring before the church arrives at its week of camp.
Each Mission Camp participant will also be involved in prayer gatherings on site and a Bible study that takes later in the evening. Student Life Mission Camp is designed to reach communities with the message of God's love through service.
Worship
Each evening at camp, your students will experience authentic worship and engaging teaching in corporate Worship. Some of the country's best Worship Leaders will participate in praise and worship, and the Camp Pastor will bring a compelling message that builds on the camp theme. Like all group worship events at camp, corporate Worship includes a fully designed backdrop that serves as the set for All Things To All People (AT2AP) actors. AT2AP will lead students in the theme development through the week as they use the arts to illustrate the week's biblical truths. Many worship services include opportunities for your students to be involved in leading worship. While we draw from modern technology and multi-media, our goal is facilitating an experience where people can draw close to God. We hold the integrity of worship in the highest regard and it is our focus, not video screens or sound systems.
Family Groups
Family Groups and corporate worship services make up the two most important parts of camp. A Family Group at Mission Camp consists of 9-12 students and a few adult leaders who meet for Bible study and prayer gatherings. Like mission worksite groups, Mission Camp family groups are made up of people from the same church. Family Groups are designed to foster intimacy, honesty and accountability. Family Groups can be split into junior (7th-9th grade) and senior (10th-12th grade) divisions or the church can choose to have mixed ages among the group.
Family Groups - in fact all components of Student Life Camp - are designed to give Youth Ministers a break from responsibility so that they can focus on building relationships with their students. One of the greatest aspects of Student Life Camp is that we free you to be what God has called you to be...a Youth Minister. We also believe in investing in the local church by having adults from your church lead Family Groups. This may be intimidating to many leaders at first, but many of those same leaders will become some of your best youth workers in the future.
Celebration
After students begin the day with their church in quiet time, they will join the rest of the camp in Morning Celebration, a high-energy worship service. Celebration features truth by the Camp Pastor and amazing worship to begin the day. Celebration is the perfect way to get the day going. It includes original short films, daily camp news presented in a humorous way and updates from the recreation fields, mission sites and other activities.
